Severe weather update from Incident Command

Current DELTA status: DELTA Minor

From Incident Command: CoxHealth hospitals are reporting normal operations at this time. Incident Command continues to monitor the winter weather. This morning, Governor Jay Nixon declared a state of emergency for Missouri. Weather reports indicate that Kansas City is being hit the hardest at this time. A winter weather warning remains in effect for the Ozarks until 6 p.m. tonight. The warning may be extended, as precipitation is expected to continue into this evening. 

EMS: EMS is taking transfers out of Springfield on a case by case basis. 

Shuttle: Shuttle service will continue at Cox South until 8 p.m. as scheduled. 

Nursing Administration at Cox South continues to coordinate volunteers to drive employees and perform non-patient care duties as needed on nursing units, as well as for staff sheltering.
