Legendary broadcaster Ned Reynolds partners with CoxHealth

Ned Reynolds (center) joins Jim Anderson, vice president of Marketing and Public Affairs, and CEO Steve Edwards during the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals radiothon in late February.

CoxHealth President and CEO Steve Edwards has announced that Ned Reynolds, longtime sports broadcaster, is joining the CoxHealth team as a spokesperson.

Reynolds will serve as host for CoxHealth MedicarePlus informational seminars, providing voice-over for radio and television spots promoting Medicare meetings and annual enrollment for seniors. He will also assist with special events on topics ranging from wellness for seniors to sports medicine to CoxHealth Foundation and CMN Hospitals charities.

“Ned is an iconic member of our community,” says Edwards. “He has been immensely trusted for his sports journalism and an inspiration to me personally for his kindness, affability and character. He has lived an ethic of giving back, serving countless local charities for decades. Through his nightly telecast, I have known him my entire life and I am pleased to call him a colleague. We are deeply honored that Mr. Reynolds will represent our organization.”

“For me, it’s a personal and professional honor to be with CoxHealth,” says Reynolds. “While working with the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals telethon once a year, I’ve been able to see its impact by watching the kids grow up and develop over the years. Now, I will see it personally and on a much more frequent basis.”

Reynolds retired as a sports announcer on KY3 television after a 48-year career. In 2001 he was inducted into the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame and received the Champion Award in 2002 from the Ambassadors of Community Health Award.
